Didjya see him?

When Dustyn first moved out to California, he got a job as an extra. They would throw him in a scene here and there. Nothing major. But, then one day he was put in Criminal Minds. Although he didn't have any lines, he played the cousin of a police officer that was killed. He was in the second row at the funeral.

How exciting!!

Kim and I have watched this show every week since Dustyn told us about the filming. All to see his mug on tv. We waited and watched and waited some more. Week, after week, after week.

After week....

*sigh*

Then, last week's episode showed a clip of a funeral scene in the upcoming episode. Holy moly!! This HAS to be IT!! Dustyn said it was a funeral scene! Woooo hoooo!!

So, Kim and I called, emailed and told most (if not all) of our friends and family to watch Criminal Minds last night. It was going to be Dustyn's big debut, after all!!

Sooooo exciting!!

We got the kids to bed and turned on the tv. Just like we had done every week for the past 2-3 months. And we waited.

And waited.

Geez! Surely, this HAS to be the episode! Where is the funeral scene? There are cops dying left and right! One of them HAS to get buried!!

And we waited some more.

There was about 5 minutes left in the show when we started feeling really embarrassed. I mean, we had told everyone!! They were all watching it!! One of Kim's coworkers was taping the episode!

Then, it appeared. The funeral.
Never before have we been so happy to have seen a funeral.

Our eyes were glued to the set.

Where's Dustyn? Where is he?

He said he's in the second row, behind the lady w/the black hat.

And then....we saw him.

He sat there, very stoic. Looking ahead at the casket.

Wow. What acting! What drama! This is great!!

The phone started to ring.

Is that him behind the woman with the black hat??

Why, yes. Yes it is.

Way to go, Dustyn! :)
